Oxycom approached us to replace the generic control electronics with dedicated, reliable hardware designed specifically for the Oxycom system. The industrial environments where Oxycom systems operate place extreme demands on electronics: continuous operation, exposure to dust and moisture, wide temperature ranges, and high inrush currents from fan motors. A generic PLC solution could not deliver the level of integration, compactness, and long-term reliability that Oxycom required. The electronics also needed to support remote diagnostics, reducing the need for on-site service visits across a globally deployed installed base.

We worked with Oxycom to iteratively develop hardware and embedded software into a single integrated solution, including IoT connectivity for remote monitoring. The control electronics were designed specifically around the thermodynamic and mechanical characteristics of the Oxycom systems, optimising sensor sampling rates, actuator response times, and power management for the two-stage cooling process. IoT connectivity was integrated from the ground up, enabling remote monitoring of system health and early detection of faults before they affect the end customer's production environment. The collaboration has grown into a long-term development partnership, with us supporting successive product generations.
